Successful Email Marketing Campaign

One thing you have heard times and times again concerning email marketing and it is: the money is in the list.

The idea behind this statement is if you have subscriber's list with many subscribers, you can advertise to them multiple times different products and thus way make more money from each subscriber than referring a single product.

And because the idea looks so promising, getting the email address of every possible visitor becomes the main marketing target.

And the green marketer is writing article after article offering some freebie just to make you click and see ... a squeeze page. And this very moment you understand you have been tricked - the freebie is actually not free - you must leave your email address and this fact somehow strangely was not include in the advertising article.

And what I am doing, I do register, download the book and start to receive emails every single day, sometimes twice a day. Three days later I unsubscribe.

Email Marketing Campaign - the right and the wrong way

Let me say it clear - I'm not against free products and collecting email addresses. But only if the product is of certain value and the process of collecting emails is not some way aggressive because no one feels nice being squeezed on anything even small one.

I am writing against this brainless mentality that is silently speaking: you are so stupid I will give you some free garbage for your email address and than will start make money from you because you will buy some product I will offer you.

I am sure you see the difference - in the right model you are offering quality for free and you are not squeezing your visitors, but simply saying to them: there is more valuable information in my newsletter leaving them with the free choice to subscribe or not.

In the second (wrong) model - you give nothing valuable but all your actions are targeted on future advertising to you visitor not counting their free will - if you want to receive anything, give me your email address.

To finish with squeeze pages - I don't practice it and I don't recommend it. More than this - I have never received anything valuable after subscribing on a squeeze page and I told you why - Squeezers don't have anything valuable to offer.

Concerning the boring pop-ups I have the same relation - I never sign up on pop-up form.

Most true marketing experts I do value and respect, are not using Squeeze pages and pop-ups, neither will I.

Don't exchange trust for commission

This is the most important word in the whole business because if you can earn the trust of your visitors with an outstanding quality of your product or service, you are going to become trusted information source for this visitors and they will not only buy your product, but they will follow your recommendation on every next product until the quality of your expertise and advice is targeted on your visitors' satisfaction and not on the commission.

All this can be easily lost by recommending one single garbage product - you took the commission, but you've lost the trust.

Successful web marketing business doesn't start with email marketing campaign.

Successful email campaign is a dream come true for every marketer, but it is not the thing to start online no matter how promising it looks.

Think again if you are going to buy an auto responder before you have working and optimized website.
