Keyword research and the success of your website
Keywords are those words or phrases that people enter into search engines to find websites with information relevant to these terms.
To be able to attract more visitors to your website, you must know what keywords people use and therefore to optimize the content on your website for these keywords.
If desired keyword phrase can not be found on at least one web page in your website, it will not get high ranking by search engines for that keyword phrase and your website will not receive additional traffic that this key phrase generates.
To reach a high rank in search engines you should optimize the content of all your webpages for relevant keyword phrases.
There are different places in the structure of your webpages where the keywords should be introduced, not only in the META keyword tag, which are completely ignored by search engines.
Key words must be effectively used across the entire website and a high ranking can be achieved without the use of well-known spam techniques.
Most search engines focus on the entire text on the web page and the way key phrases are mixed with the content will define the end result of this webpage within search engine index.
At the same time the content should not boring your guests or be incomprehensible to them because the content is created for visitors, not for search engines.

- Keyword proximity is the closeness between two or more keywords and the closer keywords are – the better. The key phrase 'search engine optimization' will rank higher than 'optimizing for search engine' because of better keyword proximity.
- Keyword frequency is the number of keyword or keyword phrase on that page.
- Keyword prominence determine how close to the beginning of the sentence is the key phrase.
- The key phrase should be present at all important places in the structure of the web page - page title, URL, links, content, descriptions and headings, ALT image tags.
If you miss the keyword nature of the search engines, the chances for building successful web business are mostly imaginary.
